Celebrate National Trails Day in McKinney at the Trinity Falls Trail Day 5K on Saturday, June 6 at The Lodge at Trinity Falls. This scenic, paved course winds through the beautiful Trinity Falls community and along its 350 acre natural park with miles of wooded riverfront trails.

Check in and festivities begin at 8:00 AM, and the chip timed 5K race starts at 9:00 AM. Registration is $30 and includes race entry, an event t shirt, race bib, and a finisher medal.

This family friendly event welcomes strollers, and a special prize will be awarded to the first place stroller strider. Cash prizes will be awarded to the Top Overall Male and Female finishers (1st $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50), plus a $50 prize for the top stroller strider. Awards will also be given to the top male and female runners in multiple age groups. The overall male and female winners will also receive a free pair of running shoes valued at $200. The awards ceremony begins at 9:45 AM.

After the race, stick around for the finish line celebration featuring music, photo opportunities, and local outdoor, recreation, and fitness vendors. Enjoy a disc golf demonstration from Another Round Dallas, complimentary snow cones from Kona Ice, and food and drinks available for purchase from Honeylu’s Truck. A post race cool down led by Camp Gladiator will take place at 9:30 AM.

Families can also enjoy a ladybug release at 10:00 AM, beginning with a reading of Little Ladybug by Ms. Bug.

100% of gross profits will be donated to local nonprofits.
